To start leveling the playing field for the traditionally underrepresented, we believe focusing on education opportunities in those communities must come first.

While from dramatically different backgrounds, both Luz and Robert Kyncl used education as a means to find independence and build value, whether in the world of business or in social services.

Luz grew up in the Domincan Republic amid significant poverty, and emigrated to the US during high school. Robert, meanwhile, grew up in communist Czechoslovakia, emigrating to the US for college once the Iron Curtain fell.

It is these unique backgrounds and life experiences that inform the focus of their philanthropy. When it comes to giving back, empowerment and independence through education is their guiding light.
